Is a company for manufacturing, assembly and marketing of dumpers, container elevators, hidraulic and electromechanical equipment.

Astel was created in 1984 and since then has developed its activity throughout the area of the national territory, from premises located in Benavente, having begun by giving assistance to refuse collection vehicles and production of electric waste containers on trucks.
After the closure of vm-motor vehicles company in 1990, elements of its technical body joined Astel technical body and started the production of dumpers.

In 2000 its new plant was concluded in the industrial zone of murteira, in samora correia, where it is currently installed while maintaining the same type of production/marketing.

Currently Astel Lda occupies a prominent position in the sector of manufacture of dumpers being the only portuguese company to do so.
Currently Astel dumpers have a share of the national market above 80% and are already being sold to Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde and Sao Tome and Principe.
At the moment Astel’s big engagement is internationalisation, having already achieved advanced negotiations to enter into new markets such as Brazil, Algeria and South Africa.
